Gas Industry Company Limited is an industry-owned company approved in 2004 under the Gas Act 1992. It is the co-regulator of the gas industry, working with both the Government and the industry to promote competition and the efficient operation of the gas sector.

Like the Electricity Authority, its activities span a broad range of issues including contracting for market services and developing rules and regulations.
