Genesis Energy announces new board appointments

Genesis Power Limited, trading as Genesis Energy, announced today three new appointments to its Board of Directors.

The three directors are:

Alison Andrew, an engineer by profession, has pursued a career in management and has had senior executive roles in major corporates, including Fonterra and Fletcher Challenge. In late 2009 she was appointed as General Manager for Orica Chemicals New Zealand Ltd, and is also currently a director of a number of Orica subsidiary companies – including Chair of Orica Fiji;

Andrew Clements is a professional company director and formerly Managing Director of Emerald Capital Ltd. He is currently Chair of Orion Health, NZ Assets Management and Amadeus Asset Administration. He is a director of NZX-listed Ryman Healthcare and the NZ Refining Company and privately held Revera and RDGP; and

John Leuchars is a civil engineer by profession, and has significant experience in senior management of international consulting engineering companies. Mr Leuchars is currently a director of New Zealand Railways Corporation (KiwiRail Group).

The appointments will become effective on 16 July 2012.

The three new appointments replaced three Board Directors who retired by rotation (Nicki Crauford, Barbara Elliston and Denis Wood on 30 April 2012).
